What are the best Bass fishing spots near Philadelphia, PA?
I live in University City and am looking for some good points lower fishing. It may be largemouth or smallmouth bass.
I'm from South Jersey and do not know how far you're willing to drive, but if you're looking for remain close to the city why not try the Delaware? Smallie You will not catch many, but I have seen many people catch bass in the coves, creeks and tributaries. Moreover, may want to consider fishing for hybrids, which are exactly that: a hybrid of white bass and striper. These guys can take a heck of a fight and are very abundant in the Delaware. The front is very similar to the bass so it does not need to spend a fortune, but you may want to go with a heavier rod and reel combo in the great river.
