Registration fish "hookset wrong"?
I've never understood this. I have seen very few articles and pictures of fish sized disc captured but not counted due to a lack hookset. If someone accidentally hit a low 24 pounds and put it in not seeing someone as brutally honest and say, "Well, does not count, oh well ". No Fish and Wildlife workers go as far as getting people to take polygraph tests and what not to find these things?
Actually, yes, the IGFA to go far to prove that a record fish taken in accordance with its rules. For example, some years ago someone took a size record 399 pounds of tuna on a boat in San Diego long range. They interviewed everyone on the boat (probably 15-20 people) and found that the fisherman had received some assistance – probably something like someone in your roll bar, while adjusted the harness (I have never heard what the problem was exactly) and rejected the catch. Something like a low connected evil would be easy to point to a tear in the skin, although there were no witnesses, and taking into account the potential income and advertising of a record largemouth, careful examination of fish and a polygraph test is quite likely, especially if there are no or very few witnesses. Taking your job IGFA seriously. That's probably why it took so long to see the great Japanese largemouth caught last year.
